As you may know, we have cast our film’s two lead roles, Bethany and Rob. Rehearsals have been excellent and I am now eager to cast our two remaining roles: ALEX and THE OTHER WOMAN.
We are holding “call backs” for the role of Alex today. A call back is basically a second look at a few actors after the initial audition process. There is usually more time allotted for each actor and sometimes the actors who already have been cast are present.
Cassidy, who will play Bethany, will be with me today. She will read two different scenes with the auditioning actors and her feedback will be crucial. It is my hope that we will have an Alex by the end of the day!
Once again, here is a description of the role of ALEX:
ALEX:
MALE/SUPPORTING/30-35: An absolute sweetheart; Bethany’s most beloved and wisest friend. He knows Bethany inside out and wants nothing more than to see her thrive, which is why he is adamantly against her reuniting with her ex-boyfriend. Alex is expressive and honest with Bethany; he speaks from the heart, which sometimes results in pushing her too hard.
